Why have you been referred here?

You are here because your healthcare provider believes you may be a good fit for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). Below are common reasons for a referral to sleep therapy.

  • Medication or medical interventions have not produced desired results.

  • Support is needed to taper off your sleep medication (under the direction of your medical provider).

  • Screenings have ruled out medical causes for the insomnia.

  • Past therapy has helped with other mental health issues, but has not provided relief for chronic insomnia and sleep anxiety.

  • An additional therapy protocol is needed to specifically target sleep issues (collaborating with your primary therapist).

  • Sleep difficulty is negatively impacting your mental and physical wellbeing.

How does therapy help sleep issues?

We will work together utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), a clinically effective treatment program focused on changing your thoughts, feelings, and behavior related to sleep. When these CBT-I techniques are used, as many as 70%-80% of patients with primary insomnia experience improvements*. Benefits include less time to fall asleep, more time spent asleep, and waking up less during sleeping hours.
